Great post. As a early career person, I agree with alot of what you say. The only things I would add is that Legacy Space Companies face an image crisis with young people (including me) who take issue with their place in the "Military Industrial Complex," but even worse perceive them as bloated organizations responsible for over budget and less innovative programs. I.e. not an exciting place to be for a long time.
I would also say that I have seen first hand that many small space company's when looking for entry level employees tend to only actively recruit from a handful of universities that all the other small companies go to as well. They need to look beyond the big or local engineering schools for talent
