Nice analysis. And indeed I fully agree, with the questions you raise. Why Telesat is going on with this project? ...who knows, but for me, it is starting to look like "YOU ARE NOTHING IF YOU DONT HAVE A LEO TELECOM-CONSETALLTION" is the new mantra for many people in space. Also, a nice touch of humor in the analysis to make me smile a few times while reading it. Really nice!

Hi Angel!

Thank you!

In every industry there's a "flavor-of-the-day." The space industry, unfortunately, seems particularly prone to that. It may be because people just don't understand space generally and investment-drivers specifically. I'm not going to complain, because the situation keeps me writing. A sampling of the current flavor selection, aside from LEO broadband, appears to be: commercial human spaceflight, smallsat launch, and Earth observation data ;-).

Two things related to the analysis:

1) I made a mistake. I noted 60 Starlinks have optical. The number is 12 right now, including ten launched with Transporter-1. I added a note next to the error.

2) Linus Tech Tips reviewed a Starlink terminal. Some data not quite accurate, but you'll get the idea of the terminal's functionality: https://t.co/omG8cbFvrU?amp=1
