If you are asking, you have no real knowledge on Kuiper, no real looking into their math, and I think are making huge mistake in equating "space math" with other prior AMZN ventures. To wit, spending 80% of the money to get the last 20% of the world who presently doesnt have real access to spend money on AMZN is ..NOT going to be a business model that "takes." Whether its "infrastructure" or retail, the tail is just not that valuable. In theory, IF they can make it work, the only thing Musk and Amazon offer is "better" LEO business model than those who do not combine launch capability and service.

Certainly agree with that. Never thought the whole "mud huts" market was a viable thing, despite what Wyler and the others say. Cellular seems to be the way for those areas--if it's even relevant to their life situation.

Also wonder about how Amazon will offer this to the DoD. The company doesn't have an eccentric at the helm, and will be tying it in with AWS.

Unvoiced as part of my pondering, however, is the broadband situation in the U.S. I have to wonder how much of the LEO satellite comms craze is driven by just how terrible terrestrial and geo broadband is for some folks here. When I lived in Colorado Springs, for example, I would have paid for Starlink if it had been available because Comcast kept bumping up prices and CenturyLink was overprice for what it offered. There were really no other alternatives there.

I understand that's anecdotal...
